Specifically, you should select one of our main lines of research:

and contact the corresponding research groups expressing your interest and maybe finding out a possible professor who could act as your PhD supervisor. You have more information about this lines of research and groups in the following link (most of the information is in Spanish).
Finding a supervisor is a required step to start your doctorate, and it is much easier if you plan this ahead.
As a final note, there are no grants or any other financial support associated to the programme. Any possible funds are managed inside the available research projects within each of the research groups.

You should have received some UO credentials for e-mail and to access different University of Oviedo services. Please, check that e-mail account regularly, since you will receive official notifications there. That account also give you access to Office 365. If you log in through the web you could see a 3x3 dot square in the top left. There you can access to the office programs, but here is a link to “Software corporativo” (corporate software). There you can find instructions to download and use other software.
As UO student you’ll have access to IEEExplore. That is our main source for literature review. IEEE Xplore. You must select “Institutional Sign In”. Type Oviedo in the institution search a click the link UNIV DE OVIEDO. You will be redirected to a login page in which you’ll have to use your UO credentials. Select “Alumnos” in the field “Organización”.
All the information about the Ph.D. steps are contained in Campus de Excelencia Internacional. Universidad de Oviedo - Doctorado (uniovi.es). Don’t use the English version. Use the Spanish one and use a web browser translator tool. The English version lacks information.
Ph.D. students are requested to do 60 hours of transversal activities. The UO offers some free face-to-face and online activities to complete this request. We use Microsoft Teams for online meetings. You can access via web with your UO or install the desktop version.
